HaloCORE can be deployed with a few different configurations depending on the feature set (Monitor, Block, Protect) you would like to set up.

The following system requirements table specifies the minimum and recommended technical specifications, such as software and network resources, necessary to run the product.

HaloCORE for NetWeaver	The following versions are supported: S/4HANA: 1511 to 2023, S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition: till release 2023 NetWeaver: 7.00, 7.01, 7.02, 7.31, 7.40 and 7.50. HaloCORE DSI is supported from 7.02 and above only. Requirements

HaloCORE is an ABAP Add-On that must be installed in an SAP instance in your environment whose content you require to protect and/or label. It plugs into the SAP ABAP function module GUI_DOWNLOAD and intercepts all download requests from users using the SAP GUI. It requires code modification of the function module GUI_DOWNLOAD. In the case of Web Dynpro Application (WDA), you need to apply code enhancement. The various options of applying HaloCORE, in SAP GUI and WDA, and the related features are listed below:

HaloCORE Features

WDA limitation

Not officially supported for 7.00+7.01, because dynamic (= program-driven) changes of screen attributes cannot be intercepted (e.g., a download link which is dynamically shown or hidden by program logic).
