Introduction

HaloCORE for DMS Add-On supports labeling, protection, logging and optionally blocking of all accesses to original files from SAP DMS (Document Management Service) stored on the NetWeaver system database or in a Content Server (CS), for viewing, editing, or downloading. Files that are protected and uploaded to the Content Server can also be decrypted.

Getting Started

This chapter will walk through the high-level steps involved in the installation and configuration of HaloCORE for DMS.

1. Step 1: Install HaloENGINE Service

   For more details, please refer to the HaloENGINE Installation Manual.

2. Step 2: Install HaloENGINE

   For more details, please refer to the HaloENGINE Installation Manual.

3. Step 3: Install HaloCAD KPro

   For more details, please refer to the HaloCAD KPro Installation Manual.

4. Step 4: Import the SAP add-on packages

   1. Install the HaloCORE for NetWeaver Add-on in the target system.

   2. Apply modifications and enhancements to activate the add-on. For more details, please refer to the HaloCORE Installation Manual.

   3. Install the HaloCORE for DMS, apply enhancements and implement BAdIs to activate the add-on. Refer to the current manual.

5. Step 5: Configure the SAP add-ons

   Set up both the HaloCORE for NetWeaver and HaloCORE for DMS Add-ons.

6. Step 6: Configure rules in HaloENGINE for protection of the downloaded file.

7. Step 7: Test the deployed solution

   Download a file for protection.
