Introduction
The release notes provide brief and high-level descriptions of the new features of HaloCAD. Before installing HaloCAD, it is recommended to read the release notes to understand any current limitations or bugs that may apply to this version of the software.
Product Description
HaloCAD for eDrawings Viewer is a lightweight application designed to view HaloCAD-protected files in other CAD-Viewer eDrawings applications with “View only” access to all the users who have access to it. This application is useful for Suppliers or Partners who need to access HaloCAD-protected models or drawings in their environment.

Requirements
Recommended URLs, addresses, and ports for MPIP
MIP SDK doesn't support the use of authenticated proxies. So, make sure you set the Microsoft 365 endpoints to bypass the proxy. View a list of endpoints at “Microsoft Online Documentation”. However, Microsoft recommends the following:

New Features

HaloCAD for eDrawings Viewers application allows viewing the protected files in other supported eDrawings applications.
Known Issues
This section lists the known issues in the current release.
In eDrawings 2022, you can capture a screenshot of a protected file while another protected file is open in the same session. HCADV-239
In eDrawings 2024, if a protected file is opened first, followed by an unprotected file via the open window, the unprotected file's options will be restricted in the same way that a protected file is. HCADV-235
It is possible to capture a screenshot of a protected Assembly file design while opening it separately with the New Part Document option. HCADV-254
It is possible to capture a screenshot of a protected DWG/DXF file. HCADV-257
The eDrawings application closes while attempting to export a file with the "STL" file type. HCADV-260
